In Kentucky, our state motto is “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”.
What you and I have accomplished over the last four years, standing united, has been awe-inspiring. We inherited an organization deep in debt financially and more, deep in a debt of confidence in our ability to keep the doors of YDA open and of our role within the Democratic Party and progressive movement.
Many saw us down and counted us out. Yet we stood firm on our values, and together, united, we turned ourselves around.
Standing united, fighting for our values, and moving our party and nation forward define the character of YDA. It is because of what we have done together and my belief and excitement in the work we still have left to do that I am writing to let you know that I am running to be the next President of the Young Democrats of America.
Over the next few months, I look forward to continuing a dialogue with you on how we can strengthen and own our pillars of Advocacy, Campaigns, Trainings, and Service as well as become an organization that is once again a bottom-up service to the heartbeat of YDA, our state and local chapters. Every generation is charged with the responsibility to see in the present, the possibilities of the future. I believe our generation is up for that challenge, and over the next two years, we will remind our party and this nation, why for over 80 years, even when we have been rocked to our core, when we have had the courage to stand united, we have changed America as One YDA!
Victoria and I look forward to this journey with you and in earning your support and your vote!
Onward to Victory,
Executive Vice President
